13 Things We Learned From Vickie Guerrero On Talk Is Jericho
12. Getting Started With WWE
Jericho asks how she got started working onscreen in WWE, and she said that Vince would always see her around backstage with the kids and it was his idea to involve her during the storyline between Eddie and Rey Mysterio where they were battling over Reys son, Dominick. Fans who were watching at the time will remember how brutal this angle was where the two real life friends were at war over who was the biological father of Dominick - especially considering it involved two of the most talented guys in the company. Vickie reveals that it was never meant to be anything more than a brief run to help add a twist to the feud, and had Eddie not passed away she likely never would have been brought back again. Then a little more than six months after Eddie died she received a call from Johnny (its assumed shes referring to Laurinaitis here) asking if shed like to come in and work another angle. Vickie accepted, telling him it would only be for another brief run, which turned into almost a decade as performer.
