13 Triple H WWE Projects That Failed Miserably
7. Movies
Something has to be said about Triple H's movie projects, all of which have been critically and commercially abysmal. He was one of many wrestlers who aspired to follow in The Rock's foot steps. His first big role was in Blade Trinity, in which he played a vampire henchman. It was considered a disappointment at the box office and had mainly negative reviews. It sure as hell didn't help Hunter in establishing his Hollywood credentials, and he returned to WWE so he could focus on wrestling. Then came the two WWE films he did in 2011. As the lead role in both The Chaperone and Inside Out, the success or failure was going to be squarely on him - and what a spectacular failure they were! The Chaperone had a $30 million budget but only did $14,400 at the box office. The few people who watched it said it was awful. As for Inside Out, it sank without trace, the numbers aren't even available. The New York Post described it as "nonsensical, thickly plotted gumbo."
