13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Mar 18)

2. Exalted At Last

Brodie Lee
AEW

Brodie goddamn Lee.

There's your Exalted One. The former Luke Harper was revealed as The Dark Order's mastermind after Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian had once again dismissed his existence, following on from an assertive Evil Uno promo.

A tall, cloaked figure was shown at the end of a long corridor. Cutting a longer diatribe than he had in WWE for years, Lee said the Dark Order do what they want, when they want, and that Daniels wasn't the first "out-of-touch old man" to dismiss home (Shoot SZN remains open). Cut back to the action where Lee was waiting in the ring, before him and the Order laid waste to the SoCal Uncensored members, with CD selling Brody's brutal discuss clothesline like death.

This was excellent, and must have been extremely cathartic for Lee. The man has been in purgatory for months. Never allowed to truly stretch his wings in WWE, watching him run through AEW is going to be loads of fun, particularly if he's able to elevate The Dark Order. On last night's evidence, he'll be just fine.
