13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Revolution 2022
4. House of Black vs. Beard Triangle
The spooky storyline that brought House of Black, PAC, Penta Oscura, and Erick Redbeard to Revolution had been a blight on AEW television in recent weeks, but their match was an insane bomb-fest let closed the Buy In on a high note, setting a lofty standard for the main card to follow.
A few things stood out in particular:-
1. The PAC and Buddy Murphy sequences warrant a big singles match. Crisp, snapping, and never lacking in violence, these two looked phenomenal in everything they did, particularly opposite one another. Give them 20 minutes on Dynamite pronto.
2. Brody King. What a beast of a man. Athletic, imposing, and bruising, he is a perfect fit for AEW's house style and looked awesome again here, whether launching PAC and Penta around or slugging it out with his beefy opposite number.
3. Erick Redbeard entered the performance of a lifetime. Earnestly, the big man was great. Clearly relishing the opportunity to perform on a major American wrestling show once again, he was a joy to watch, throwing his thick frame across the ring and ringside, to the extent that AEW should definitely use him again in the future.
4. Malakai Black's spray tan.
A huge, pulse-pounding success with hard-hitting, meaty action, this could scarcely have been any better.
