13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Revolution 2022

5. Yer Da Is Here And He's PISSED!

William Regal Jon Moxley Bryan Danielson

Who had William Regal in the AEW Revolution 2022 debut sweepstakes? Raise your hand. You're a winner.

Thundering out like a disappointed parent when Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley continued throwing blows after their brutal match, the former NXT General Manager restored order. And he was FIERCE. More than just the authoritatively shouty old shooter he was in WWE, this was a different, more bellicose Regal. He has always taken no sh*t, but Revolution painted him as the last man you want to mess with.

Moxley ate the first slap, with Regal's own forehead clarted with blood after going face-to-face with the victor. Then, dad stormed over to Danielson, paintbrushed him as well, and insisted they shake hands, immediately establishing his authority.

This was sensational - and it re-energised the crowd after a long hour where it felt like their levels were starting to fade a little. An important moment that enhanced the pay-per-view during and after.
