13 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown On FOX (Oct 4)

Ups...

13. Ready For A Good Time

Last night's SmackDown kicked off with the briefest of introductions from Stephanie and Vince McMahon rolling into a brand new opening video, and it ruled.

A big, slick production with all kinds of jazzy effects, it highlighted major stars like Randy Orton, Becky Lynch, and Roman Reigns, perhaps teasing how next week's draft might pan out. Regardless, it looked and felt big time. This was as critical as hooking up with AC/DC, whose "Are You Ready" provides the new soundtrack - a welcome break from the rancid butt-rock wrestling promotions usually go for.

Making a strong first impression is always critical. WWE did that here, setting off on their maiden FOX voyage in style.
