The Zack Sabre Jr./Minoru Suzuki vs. Jushin Thunder Liger/YOSHI-HASHI tag came with a couple of talking points. Liger and Suzuki are currently embroiled in a bitter, bitter feud, with the duos heated brawls highlighting many an undercard bout over the past few months. YOSHI, meanwhile, has made noises about getting a shot at ZSJ's RevPro British Heavyweight Title lately, meaning there'd be considerable storyline ramifications from whatever happened here.

Sabre has nought but disdain for YOSHI-HASHI. His disrespect was evident as he peppered the CHAOS also-ran with insultingly soft kicks prior to tagging MiSu, who kicked the p*ss out of his opponent. Regardless, Suzuki vs. Liger was the highlight. Their interactions were suitably hard-hitting and should lead towards an epic dad battle later down the line, with Liger ticking another big name off his pre-retirement bucket list, though it's unclear how NJPW will fit this into their pre-G1 Climax schedule.

A solid tag bout concluded with YOSHI surprisingly rolling Sabre up for the upset victory, likely scoring hisBritish Heavyweight Title shot in the process. Flooring ZSJ after the Brit's post-bell flip-out, YOSHI held the belt above Zack as Suzuki was dragged away by Young Lions, clearly relishing his rare moment in the spotlight.
