13 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW All Out

12. No Alex Marvez

Alex Marvez
AEW

All Out was the first AEW pay-per-view to not feature Alex Marvex as the announce team's third man. The show was much stronger for it.

The malfunction Marvez is ill-suited to pro-wrestling commentary for a multitude of reasons, all of which have been covered in detail on this site (and hosts of others) since AEW's debut. For that reason, we shan't dive into them here. Goldenboy, on the other hand, is a huge upgrade, despite his lack of direct wrestling experience. His flow, cadence, and timing are all spot on, and while he lacks Excalibur's insight, this will come with experience.

Keeping Marvez around to maintain a "real sport" feel makes sense, given his NFL experience. Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, and Excalibur is a far stronger TV team anyway.
