13 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW All Out

13. Nyla Rose Triumphs In Imperfect Casino Battle Royale

Nyla Rose
AEW

Your writer toyed with the idea of throwing All Out's Casino Battle Royale on the Downs side of this column. It had plenty of problems, with the production team missing several big moments, the third group of wrestlers botching their cue to come down, a handful of noticable in-ring flubs, and the performers frequently failing to space their spots out.

Ultimately, though, there was enough good about the clash to warrant the Up. Just. Britt Baker charging out of the ring to Thesz Press rival Bea Priestley on the ramp got a great reaction, and Prestley's involvement in the finish keeps their grudge alive. Nyla Rose looked awesome and is an intriguing winner who can now claim revenge against Riho for that Fyter Fest pinfall. The Joker, Mercedes Martinez, was incredible and should be signed immediately. The Librarians weren't awful for the first time ever, with Peter Avalon placing books on the floor to prevent Leva Bates' elimination. F*ckin' ODB was there. The list goes on.

The volume of mistakes means there are plenty of lessons to be learned for future Casino Battle Royales, though this columnist was satisfied with the whole.
