We never want to arrive in a world where AEW Dynamite starts to exact same way every single week, so props to the promotion for beginning last night's show with Chris Jericho's Thanksgiving Celebrashon for Le Champion.

Going with an elaborate in-ring promo over the usual red-hot opening match will help keep the show fresh in the long-run. Yes, said matches get the crowd's adrenaline pumping earlier, but habits get tedious when they're thrown out there every single week, regardless of quality.

In fairness, AEW have demonstrated a willingness to mix things up with the opener several times already. It still deserves props, though. They understand the importance of not becoming formulaic.
