Thumbs-up to the person who insisted that WWE go with a different entrance stage for the Royal Rumble PPV.

Even in big arenas, WWE typically does a big stage area with LED walls to broadcast a wrestler’s name. Look at WrestleMania 34 last year. Yes, it was impressive, but it followed the same theme as we see on Raw, SmackDown and all PPVs.

But Sunday’s PPV featured something unique. With the Rumble taking place at Chase Field, WWE took advantage of the baseball park and had superstars emerge from the dugout to enter the field. Sure, there were LED boards along the dugout, but it was much more subdued than the typical display.

It created a unique look for the event that looked pretty cool.
