Announcers are going to misspeak from time to time, and we try not to harp on them too much.

But when Corey Graves and Tom Phillips botched a major WWE Royal Rumble history factoid and didn’t correct it, then it has to get noted here.

As Charlotte Flair entered the Rumble at #13, the announcers talked about genetics, and how her father Ric Flair entered the 1992 Rumble at #1 and won the match. Only, he entered at #3 an won.

It was the kind of mistake you just shouldn’t make. That talking point had to be written down somewhere for them to spout it off, and they got it wrong. It’s not a cardinal sin, but it earns a down here.
