To compensate for a botch involving CM Punk which wasnt his fault, heres one that is. More than a few pro wrestling pundits have said that Punk should have a separate finishing move to use on wrestlers who arent the right size, as the Go To Sleep requires him to hoist the opponent over his head to deliver the knee. If theyre too tall then the knee goes precisely nowhere. In this case, its a little difficult to see exactly what went wrong. Kane seems to go up and over, and lands in the right way to take the knee but it looks like Punks knee becomes tangled in Kanes arm and, off-balance, he goes down with the bigger man. It wasnt the only time in Punks vaunted career that the GTS would prove a problem on larger men, but of course the matters irrelevant if hes genuinely retired from in-ring competition now. Perhaps if he makes a comeback somewhere other than WWE, he can dig out the Pepsi Plunge for one last outing.
