13 WWE Divas Champions That Left The Company

2. AJ Lee

Once CM Punk left WWE on infamously acrimonious terms in early 2014, it seemed like a safe bet that his future wife would be right behind him. Even when Punk was officially fired (on he and AJ's wedding day), AJ stuck around, returning to the fold to exchange the Divas championship several times with Paige later that year. Ultimately, AJ did leave, but not until days after WrestleMania 31, where she gained a submission win over Divas Champion Nikki Bella in a tag team match. A month before her sudden exit, AJ called out boss Stephanie McMahon for her public praise of actress Patricia Arquette for advocating women's rights, noting that WWE doesn't exactly hold its women in the highest possible esteem.
