Ax and Smash combined to make the most formidable tag team to ever come out of Parts Unknown. Their colorful face paint, black spiked vests, and Lord Humungus-style masks made them quite the intimidating pair.

Winning the WWF World Tag Team Champions on three separate occasions helps make Demolition the highest ranking team on our list. The painted gentlemen bested the likes of Strike Force, The Hart Foundation, and even fellow Parts Unknown residents The Powers of Pain during their reign of dominance in the World Wrestling Federation.

Ax was able to handle encounters with the most formidable teams of his era, but a shrimp dinner was another matter entirely. He was sidelined for an extended period due to shellfish allergies, and as a result, the WWE brought in a 3rd member named Crush in 1990.

However, not long after the addition of Crush, another team of painted men wearing spikes arrived in the WWF known as the Legion of Doom. The fans seemed to gravitate toward the new kids on the block, and Demolition, their derivative doppelgangers, saw their popularity decline as a result.

By the time 1991 rolled around, the members of Demolition had gone their separate ways. However, their legacy as one of the sport’s great tag teams had already been secured.
