Obviously, the fact that Cena spent his early WWE years as a Vanilla Ice knock-off helps this idea somewhat, but there's way more to it than that. Limp Bizkit are often mocked by the metal elite for their simple music, basic lyrics, overly colourful image and being thrusted into the forefront of the metal scene in the early 00s, putting more traditional, "respected" metal bands in the shade. But, when all is said and done, whenever it's time for Limp Bizkit to put on a show, they turn up, rip the place apart and, nine times out of ten, blow everyone else around them clean off stage. Sound familiar? Yes, John Cena is undoubtedly the poster child for the endless tsunami of vitriol that is pro wrestling fans, and yet he regularly forces us to eat our words like a starving labrador at a buffet. "John Cena sucks!" becomes "This Is Awesome" within about ten minutes of wrestling, while the guy can, when he's given the right material and opponent, still carry an awesome feud. So then, John, we officially annoint you the Limp Bizkit of the wrestling world. Divisive, way over the top, but still able to get the job done. Be proud. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYnFIRc0k6E
