13 WWE Superstars To Watch On Road To WrestleMania 32

12. Kalisto

One of the most uplifting stories of 2016 thus far has been the emergence of Kalisto, now United States champion for the second time following his defeat of Alberto Del Rio at Royal Rumble. The masked Superstar has made the most of the opportunity given to him, delivering between the ropes and becoming that underdog performer that young fans can invest in. While he still has quite a ways to go in terms of building credibility with the rest of the audience, he is well on his way to becoming this generation's Rey Mysterio, which is exactly what the company wishes for him. As the United States champion, Kalisto figures to play a significant role at WrestleMania 32. An ongoing rivalry with The League of Nations could lead him to a high-profile showdown with someone like Sheamus or Rusev, though another match with Del Rio is unlikely with a rematch announced for Fastlane. Perhaps another Superstar steps up to the plate, maybe even his former tag team championship-winning partner Sin Cara, who has to be a little jealous after watching his smaller amigo achieve singles glory. At a time where everyone else is essentially on a treadmill, neither advancing up or descending down the card, Kalisto is the exception and come WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, could make even more of a name for himself in the grandest ways imaginable.
