2. Brian Kendrick - Championship Scramble - Unforgiven 2008
Despite never being involved in a one-on-one match for the WWE Championship, Brian Kendrick was entered into the title picture by being one of the five men in the championship scramble match which took place at Unforgiven in 2008. Maybe the WWE hoped that by putting The in front of his name fans would be convinced that the new Kendrick could actually win the WWE Championship. As expected though, it turned out that Kendrick was no more than someone to fill a space in the match Triple H successfully defended the title. Kendrick was briefly an interim champion during the match, but soon became the whipping boy that Triple H and Jeff Hardy would take turns pinning.
