5. Russ Francis

Super Bowl: XIX WrestleMania: II Former San Francisco 49er Russ Francis has the unique distinction of being raised in the world of professional wrestling before playing professional football, then transitioning to wrestling after his gridiron days were done. The son of wrestling promoter Ed Francis, Russ Francis won a ring in Super Bowl XIX. He would join his colleagues in the NFL versus WWF battle royal at WrestleMania II, making it to the final four before he was eliminated by the Hart Foundation. While that would be Francis€™ only involvement with WWF, he would go on to compete for the AWA and NWA after retiring from football, even holding the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Championships once with his brother.
