When you reflect on the record-setting tag team title reign of the New Day, it’s hard to believe that this is where it all began.

New Day lost the tag titles to Darren Young and Titus O’Neil at Money in the Bank in 2015 and PTP defended the titles at Battleground, but a fatal four-way title defense against New Day, Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores (remember those guys?) would not go their way. New Day would steal the pinfall (they were heels at the time) to capture their second title reign.

Since then, New Day went on to become the longest-reigning tag team champs in WWE history. They underwent a transformation from cheating villains to fan favorites, all the while keeping fans entertained.

Today, they are pretty much a bulletproof act, with Kofi Kingston entering SummerSlam as WWE Champion and Big E & Xavier Woods holding the SmackDown Tag Team Championship as six-time tag champs.
