Just months after CM Punk left the WWE, a deal was cut to bring in one of the most exciting in-ring talents in the world. Prince Fergal Devitt was officially announced as a WWE superstar on July 28th, with his NXT in-ring debut as Finn Balor coming on September 25th. If Punk had been with the company, Balor is the kind of wrestler who he would have requested to work a match with. Both are stylistically the same performers in the ring, with an impact game that's centred around pro wrestling fundamentals. They understand the narrative flow of a match and how to work the audience into their game. If he was to come back to WWE, Punk versus Balor would likely be one of the matches we'd see in his comeback run. Balor will be on the main roster soon and is expected to be matched with top opponents. What a sight it would be to see that red demon crawling out to confront CM Punk.
