14 Huge AEW All Out 2022 Predictions You Need To Know
8. Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage
This match's build has suffered during its past couple of weeks not for its content, which has been good, but because AEW shoved the Christian Cage/Jungle Boy segments immediately after the white-hot World Title program. It's hard to get fully invested in a storyline like this when Jon Moxley and CM Punk have already burnt you out. There's a lesson to be learned there, though the match feels suitably personal heading into All Out.
Cage and Jack Perry believably despise each other. While he hasn't always been a good promo in AEW, Jungle Boy has found a new gear in recent months, which is perhaps a consequence of working with Christian for so long. He is finding his fire. Cage dug into his deepest trauma and clawed his way under his skin and when Perry says he wants to fight, it's easy to buy into.
Perhaps this program could benefit from a longer series with the heel winning out initially, leading to a bigger babyface triumph later down the road. That isn't generally how Tony Khan books, though. The hero will go over to close this rivalry.
Winner: Jungle Boy
