14 Missed Opportunities In The Undertaker's WWE Career

14. Not Signing Sooner For WWF

The first and most obvious point is that The Undertaker and WWE both had a missed opportunity by not doing business together sooner. Mark Calaway was active on the pro wrestling scene from 1984 onwards, yet it would be six years before he signed with WWE. The question you have to ask is how WWF talent scouts missed him. He was tall and had the perfect WWF build, in addition to athleticism and ring skills. He knew how to work and had an understanding of the business even back then. Yet it was WCW who won his signature first, basically wasting his talent in an uneventful debut year. Just twelve months after signing with the southern brand, he was finally picked up by the WWF. Who knows what could have happened if he'd been signed with the WWF just a few years earlier, he could well have been a feature act at legendary events such as WrestleMania 3.
