14 Shortest Matches In WWE History

11. Daniel Bryan Vs. Sheamus - WrestleMania XXVIII (18 Seconds)

The Rock v Erick Rowan
WWE

Probably the most infamous short match in WWE history, Daniel Bryan's 18 second loss to Sheamus in the opening match of WrestleMania XXVIII actually kickstarted Bryan's journey to being one of the biggest stars in WWE's recent history.

Sheamus and Bryan were renowned for having great chemistry in the ring and many fans were hyped to see the two face off at Mania. Instead, WWE thought it'd be wise to try and set a new record and have their world championship match end in record time.

As the bell rang, Bryan turned around to kiss his beau A.J. Lee and upon turning around, he was immediately floored by a Brogue Kick, allowing Sheamus to pick up the win and the championship in just 18 seconds. The match didn't actually set the record and only p*ssed off the fans who had hoped to see a great match.
