10. How Darren Got Into The Business
Darren reveals that he'd been working independents prior to coming to WWE, getting his start all the way back in 2002. He adds that he always attended WWE shows when they were in the area, and went through multiple tryouts where the company "closed the door in his face so many times." In 2009 he attended a paid tryout in Tampa with 75 men and women from around the world, and says the he worked like a maniac and got chosen out of everyone. He considers that his last chance, and had he not gotten signed he was going to join the fire department. Young also notes that fellow New Jersey resident AJ Lee signed her contract that day as well.
