I had just signed a three year deal with WWE, which to any pro wrestler that ever laced up a pair of boots would be the pinnacle of their career. How did I celebrate it? By going into my best friends bathroom, carefully cooking up a batch of heroin known as killer bee, then putting the needle into my vein and injecting what felt like a warm fuzzy blanket being wrapped around me. In that moment, I was in heroin heaven. In an instant I went from heaven to pure hell, dying right there on the bathroom floor. I remember thinking it was the best s**t I have ever put in my body, then boom, I was dead. If not for my aunt pounding on my chest and reviving me I was gone. My lips had already turned blue because I had stopped breathing. My aunt punched me repeatedly in the head, desperately trying to wake me. When I finally did come around, she screamed at me, You m**********r! You just died right here in front of me. I looked at her for a moment as I regained my bearings before I growled back at her, Then why the f**k did you wake me up? I genuinely thought that death was a better option for me than life. My aunt punched me in the face again, because even though she loved me, she was so p****d off with me. James Dixon is the co-author of over a dozen wrestling book, including the best-selling Titan Sinking and Titan Shattered, all available for Kindle download at this link
The author of the highly acclaimed 'Titan' book series, James Dixon has been involved in the wrestling business for 25 years as a fan, wrestler, promoter, agent, and writer. James spent several years wrestling on the British independent circuit, but now prefers to write about the bumps and bruises rather than take any of them. His past in-ring experience does however give a uniquely more "insider" perspective on things, though he readily admits to still being a "mark" at heart.
James is the Chief Editor and writer at historyofwrestling.co.uk and is responsible for the best-selling titles Titan Sinking, Titan Shattered, and Titan Screwed, as well as the Complete WWF Video Guide series, and the Raw Files series.
