14 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE Raw

5. Show Stealers Barely Got Any Time

Drew McIntyre Dolph Ziggler

Last week, Drew McIntyre cut the best promo of his WWE career to date. Also, Dolph Ziggler, who has had a topsy-turvy run since turning heel in 2016, looked like a genuine star. It's a winning package, and one that should help both men.

What doesn't help both men? WWE booking them to talk about "taking the show" for 30 whole seconds on a three-hour broadcast, that's what.

It would have been better to see McIntyre and Ziggler work a tag-team match, or have Drew destroy a jobber with Dolph at ringside. Follow-up is key to their success, and they didn't really get it this week. The writers need to remember that, in order for wrestlers/characters to have any credibility, they must back up their words with actions.

When they needed to be on the show proper and continue building momentum, McIntyre and Ziggler weren't.
