14 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (20 Nov)

7. Respect The Pops

Luchasaurus Jake Hager
AEW

Jurassic Express (and especially Luchasaurus) have been a joy to watch in AEW so far, but the trio's lack of success between the ropes meant AEW had to acknowledge their popularity before long, less risking it fade away. We finally got that on Dynamite.

Luchasaurus, Marko Stunt, and Jungle Boy made the save at the end of Chris Jericho's mega segment, stopping the Inner Circle from straight-up murdering SoCal Uncensored. It drew a big, big pop and ended with the big man squaring off with Jake Hager. 'The Big Hurt' backed off as AEW smartly preserved their physicality for a later date rather than going for an immediate payoff.

Jurassic Express need moments like this to ensure they don't become a lower-midcard novelty act. This, coupled with Luchasaurus' squash, helped present them as a force to match their popularity.
