The moment that The Shield defied the orders of The Authority and came to the aid of Daniel Bryan just 24 hours after WrestleMania XXX, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns made themselves enemies of Triple H. When The Game reunited with Randy Orton and Batista in Evolution, it looked as though there was a very real threat to the dominance of the Hounds of Justice. After all, Evolution was one of the greatest factions of all time and The Shield was a group of young stars only beginning to establish their legacies. Despite suffering a brutal beatdown at the hands of The Game, The Viper and The Animal prior to their Extreme Rules showdown on May 4, The Shield proved themselves resilient. They proved that they could not only rebound, but be more unstoppable than ever before. Working as a well-oiled machine rather than three individuals, The Shield overcame the experience and championship resumes of their opponents. Batista felt the wrath of Reigns while Rollins dove from the stands to take out both Triple H and Orton. It was a powerful statement by the young trio and a hint of things to come for all three in 2014.
