14 WWE Wrestlers Who Defied Gravity Before Neville

Who did gravity forget before Neville?

Newcastle-born WWE Superstar Neville has made a huge name for himself since hitting the WWE's main roster. Named 'the man that gravity forgot', he's finally been able to take his exhilarating style and move-set to the grand stage, after years on the independent scene. The 28-year-old hasn't looked back since his Raw debut in March 2015. His character and deliverance on the microphone may still need some work, but Neville's athleticism and move-set has helped firmly establish his name alongside the company's leading babyfaces. WWE has looked to push the Englishman as a modern, real-life super hero, and it's easy to see why when you watch one of his matches. His style is unique. Whether he is pulling off a series of front-flips, executing an inch-perfect moonsault or unleashing his famed 'Red Arrow' finisher, Neville always has something up his sleeve. He's able to elongate his time in the air to such an extent that it's no wonder why he's earned his moniker from WWE creative. But while he's one of the best (if not the best) high-flyers in the industry today, Neville wouldn't have made it to where he is without the example of high-flying superstars of yesteryear. The man formerly known as 'Pac' owes a debt to those who carved out the path for smaller men to reach the top of the business. Though, the refreshing thing is that Neville has taken their examples and formulated his own style with a twist. But with those Superstars of the past in mind, this article will take a look at 14 stars in the business who defied gravity before Neville managed it. The list features superstars of the distant past - and some more recent - while there's even a great diva thrown in for good measure.
