7. The Miz (WrestleMania XXVII)

It is safe to say that very few people bought in to The Miz as WWE Champion leading up to WrestleMania XXVII, and it didn't help that more attention was given to The Rock as "Special Host" as opposed to the company's marquee title holder.

Fans can argue whether or not The Miz was ready to be champion and headline a WrestleMania, but on some level WWE knew the doubts the audiences were having. In response they produced one of the most effective video packages of recent years. The 'Hate Me Now' video showed The Miz watching highlights of famous World Champions intertwined with clips of his reality TV past and the beginnings of The Miz character.
