15 Best Ever Storyteller Wrestlers

5. Steve Austin

As one of the single greatest wrestling personalities of all time, there€™s not much fans won't already know about €˜Stone Cold€™ Steve Austin. The dude was the top dog during the Attitude Era, with his impressive work in the ring and his natural charisma with a microphone in hand, not to mention the fact that he was one of the most loved guys in the industry at the time, and remains so today even having swapped the ring for a comfortable talkshow seat. Everyone remembers Austin primarily for his excellent work with Vince McMahon, where he would spit in the face of authority and stun it for good measure, creating one of the best rivalries in WWE history, however one match that stands out as some of Austin€™s finest storytelling in the ring, came during his match against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13. The match, which took place the year following Austin€™s King of the Ring victory, solidified Austin as one tough SOB, and would result in a double-turn when Hart continued to attack €˜The Texas Rattlesnake€™ after forcing him to pass out with the Sharpshooter (note: Austin would pass out from the pain and blood loss before he would tap out to his nemesis, Bret Hart). From this point on, Austin was loved by the fans and would go on to become the biggest star of the Attitude Era.
