Ahhhh Valentine's Day, a time for love, candy hearts, cute stuffed teddy bears and brutality from WWE. There's something special in the air at this time of year and, far from getting all lovey-dovey, it leads to superstars bringing out their worst side in the ring. Be it violent beatdowns or shocking upsets there's always something interesting going on in mid-February. Today we'll take a look at the fascinating history of WWE violence and surprises surrounding the day of love, starting at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre PPV back in 1999. It seems only fitting that a tradition such as this one would begin with Mr. McMahon, and would feature some of the most vicious superstars ever seen in a WWE ring.
