Lots of fans know that Bob Holly broke into WWE as "Sparky" Thurman Plugg, one of Vince McMahon's infamous punny occupational gimmicks. He was a friendly NASCAR driver, and therefore had checkered flags on his tights. That's about as far as it went, because the company was in a downward spiral and McMahon wasn't about to bankrupt himself by renting a stock car so Bob fargin Holly could drive it onto the set of Superstars to get pinned by Jeff Jarrett.
