The mysterious asiatic/oriental/whatever spike, in which a thumb is pressed into your neck, causing you to DIE. They'd call out a stretcher and everything. If you think it's ridiculous that lightly pushing a digit into the side of someone's neck was treated as a potentially life-threatening maneuver, you've clearly never been to Asia, where people know how to kill you with their thumbs. Anyway, Meng used a variation known as the Golden Spike, which is the exact same maneuver augmented with a little gold lamé thimble. Unfortunately, there was never a satisfying payoff to it. If the regular version is life-threatening, then the upgrade has to be instant death. Just like on some random episode of Saturday Night, Brad Armstrong takes it and his head explodes. That's how you protect a finish.
