15 Coolest Attires In WWE SummerSlam History
Superstars busting out cool threads for the biggest party of the summer.
WWE superstars don't just pull out their best outfits for WrestleMania, you know. No, in fact many WWE stars try to get a new pair of trunks, tights or boots for all of the major shows, whether it by the Royal Rumble, 'Mania, Survivor Series or, yes, SummerSlam.
Before the Network Era pretty much cannibalised the company's PPV business, SummerSlam was one of the most ordered shows of the year. In 1998, for example, the show drew a whopping 700,000 buys, based on the strength of the highly-anticipated Steve Austin/Undertaker main event.
The 99 and 2000 events drew over 500,000 buys while the 2005 event, headlined by Hulk Hogan, drew a massive 650,000 buys. Clearly, SummerSlam is a night when there are lots of eyes on the WWE product and, when there are that many eyes on you, you're going to make sure that you look your best.
This year's event marks the 28th incarnation of SummerSlam, and the guys and girls of the WWE roster are bound bust out some cool looking gear for the occasion. For inspiration, perhaps they could take a look at these, the 15 coolest attires in SummerSlam history.
