15 Days That Will Haunt Vince McMahon Forever

2. September 10, 2012: Jerry Lawler's On-Air Heart Attack

It doesn€™t get more real than this: a commentator having a heart attack live on RAW. Lawler had a match earlier on in the show, yet he appeared to be fine. But when the Prime Time Players and Team Hell No started their match, things went awry. Lawler started snoring on commentary, before legitimately passing out. It was a shocking moment as the commentary soon ended and EMTs surrounded the commentary tables. Fans started chanting Jerry€™s name as he was stretchered out of the arena, only to be pronounced clinically dead for twenty minutes. Fans, Superstars, and crew alike were all concerned and afraid for Lawler€™s life. Michael Cole broke character and gave concerned fans updates as they came along. Thankfully, Lawler made a complete recovery, due in part to the medical care he received in Montreal (yay, Canada), as well as the immediate help he got from WWE€™s medical staff. It€™s widely believed that his heart attack couldn€™t have happened in a better place; if it was in a hotel room or somewhere where he was alone, he could€™ve easily died. For Vince, it was a terrifying moment to find one of his longest-tenured employees having a very real heart attack live on RAW. Thankfully it didn€™t end in tragedy, but for Vince, it must leave him awake some nights, wondering what could€™ve happened€
