15 Days That Will Haunt Vince McMahon Forever

11. November 26, 2014: CM Punk's Appearance On Colt Cabana's Podcast

CM Punk€™s disappearance from WWE was a major discussion topic throughout 2014. There was constant speculation that he would appear at certain points over the course of the year, including in Chicago, at WrestleMania or when his contract expired. When he failed to appear, fans slowly stopped caring as much, but that didn€™t stop them from chanting his name whenever they could. Then, on November 26th, Punk broke his silence and spoke on Colt Cabana€™s Art of Wrestling Podcast, in what amounted to a scathing critique of WWE€™s internal politics. Among the most controversial aspects were him receiving his termination papers on his wedding way, and WWE€™s doctors allegedly ignoring a massive, possibly-fatal staph infection on his back. These allegations must€™ve certainly ticked Vince off royally. He was trying very hard to improve WWE€™s image, only for a longtime employee to destroy all of that with eyewitness testimony of the problems and culture of the WWE. Hell, Vince even apologized to Punk on camera for those problems, which only shows how much damage control he had to engage in. Vince will certainly remember this day for damaging his company€™s as well as his personal reputation. Punk€™s words were the result of many long-term problems that Vince couldn€™t fix, and as a result he lost one of his biggest stars, which must certainly be haunting him still.
