1. A Disastrous Ceremony
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UJcevBAyyo When Triple H returned from his torn quadriceps in January 2002, it was clear that there was some tension between he and wife Stephanie. More focused than ever to climb the ladder back to the top of the business, The Game was not concerned with Stephanie's personal vendettas against his fellow Superstars. Sensing that she was losing the grip she once had on the former WWE champion, Stephanie did what any great female character on a soap opera would: She faked a pregnancy. Triple H was so elated that he agreed to renew his vows with his wife, something she had repeatedly told her he was not into. It was moments before he was to take to the ring for that ceremony that he received a phone call from Stephanie's mother, Linda. She informed her son-in-law that Stephanie had hired an actor to portray her doctor and that she was not, in fact, pregnant. The look of disgust and anger on Triple H's face told the entire story. Still, he went to the ring, flashed an insincere smile as his wife made her way to the ring and waited for the proper time to unleash. "Tonight, I see you for what you truly are: a no-good lying bitch!" he said before planting Vince McMahon with a Pedigree and shoving his manipulative spouse to the ground. He tossed his wedding ring at her, indicating that the once-strong union was over. The image of Stephanie screaming like a ferocious lion as Triple H made his way up the ramp is one of the most memorable in her career. It was also the greatest instance of her getting her comeuppance.
