When Rowdy Roddy Piper died in July 2015, the wrestling world mourned the loss of one of its greatest legends.
Piper was not the greatest technician in the ring, but he never needed to be; the motormouthed star won hearts and minds with his razor-sharp wit and bravura.
Piper was given the platform to showcase his microphone skills during the infamous Piper's Pit chat show segments. Whether he smashed a coconut over Jimmy Snuka's head or oversaw dissension between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, these segments were must-watch TV, and some of his witticisms have gone down in wrestling folklore, including the exclamation that 'Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions!'
Piper is one of the all-time great villains of wrestling. Much like Ric Flair, Piper was beloved despite his heel persona.
