There's a very good chance that there's never been a more exciting WWE Studios film than Stephen Merchant's directorial debut. The British funnyman has teamed up with executive producer The Rock to tell the story of Paige, based on the documentary of the same name.
It will chart Paige's rise to fame and stars talents as famous as Nick Frost, The Rock, Lena Headey, Vince Vaughn and Florence Pugh (who won lots of plaudits last year with Lady Macbeth). The idea of Vaughn playing Jake The Snake is reason enough to get a ticket.
The best thing about it is that it's nothing like the brainless action flicks WWE Studios usually put out, and there's definitely an intriguing story here to tell, with The Rock playing himself. After all, who else could fit in those shoes?
