15 Match Star Ratings For AEW All Out 2022
5. Four-Way Women's Match For The Interim Women's Title
Lacking in crowd heat, the work was to a solid to very good standard.
The opening blitz of pinning combinations made for instant drama in a match helped by how unpredictable it was. In the end, strapping up Toni Storm was the correct choice. Tony Khan badly needed to back a new star in the division; when the likes of Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander and Athena faded into the background or were barely used, it was difficult to take the entire division seriously, much less anybody in it. Without being blow-away great, this was a brisk, action-heavy match that told the correct story twice over. Finally going in the Britt Baker Vs. Jamie Hayter direction allows Khan to add more focus to the scene, but where have we heard that?
It's time for Khan to actually do something now. This was good, and needed, but it can't be considered promising until Khan proves himself worthy of earning trust.
The sad part is that the work earned a reaction that was never forthcoming. The stigma is too powerful now.
