15 Mid 90s WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

15. Freddie Joe Floyd (1995-1998)

Before he was a awkwardly disco dancing faux-Italian member of ECW's Full Blooded Italians stable and after he was both one-half of a WCW tag team with Brad Armstrong (as the Young Pistols) and a blood and guts babyface in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Tracy Smothers spent 1995-1997 in the WWF as Bowlegs, Oklahoma-born babyface Freddie Joe Floyd. The entire gimmick was a rib on Bowlegs, Oklahoma-born legends (and WWF employees) Jack and Gerry Brisco (Jack Brisco€™s real name is Fred Joe Brisco and Gerry€™s full name is Floyd Gerald Brisco). In the gimmick Smothers was a nondescript mid-card babyface for whom the company's green-as-grass heels could wrestle and defeat in credible matches. Wins over Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw (via pinfall) and Triple H (via countout) highlighted Smothers' time as Floyd. By 1998, as per ECW and WWF's talent swap, Smothers moved on to ECW and the Full Blooded Italians.
