15 Most Boring Matches Of WWE's Attitude Era

7. The Disciples Of Apocalypse vs. Los Boricuas - In Your House: D-Generation X

The Gang Warz of 1997 were WWE's response to the rise and popularity of the New World Order. Just as Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash had introduced a gang mentality to WCW programming, WWE felt they could replicate that sort of environment on their show. The only problem is, they failed to understand that the star power of WCW's competitors is what made their show so successful. Instead, Vince McMahon created three factions in The Nation, Los Boricuas and the Disciples of Apocalypse that were made up solely of midcard talent. When The Nation dropped out of the feud, moving onto bigger and better things, it left the other two gangs without anything better to do than fight each other. And they did. Endlessly. It seemed as though not a single episode of Raw or another WWE pay-per-view could pass without having to watch The Disciples of Apocalypse battle Los Boricuas in some sort of match. Perhaps their most boring and uninteresting contest occurred in December on the In Your House: D-Generation X broadcast. The two teams went through the motions, delivering a match in which the term "mediocre" would be far too much of a compliment to bestow upon it. It was slow, full of generic offense and as boring as any contest seen on pay-per-view that year. It did not work, though that would hardly stop WWE management from programming them against each other in the future.
