"Vince wanted to bully me like he does everyone else." Eventually, a meeting was set up between Brock and Vince. But it didn't go well. WWE would only take Lesnar back on a rookie deal, which was completely unacceptable to the wrestler. He rightly knew his market value, hence why he went off to New Japan and intentionally breached his no-compete agreement. Lesnar wasn't going to give in to Vince's bullying, and WWE eventually backed down on the terms of the no-compete clause. Lesnar also wasn't happy that McMahon had John Laurinaitis in on the meeting, with the talent exec badgering him to show his new sword tattoo off. Brock firmly said no, shocked at how amateurish this supposedly serious meeting was. Eventually, he would end up in the UFC. Bizarrely, it has resulted in Brock Lesnar back with WWE, worth far more than he ever would have been if he had stuck around in 2004. In the long run, both Lesnar and McMahon have benefited from the way things went down, but there sure are a lot of quotes on Brock's part which now sound a little awkward!
