15 Most Surprising WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Of All Time

9. Mick Foley (2004)

WWE Network

The incredible Randy Orton/Mick Foley feud took a major turn during the 2004 Royal Rumble. Prior to the event, Orton had driven Foley out of the WWE by spitting in his face. Foley, apparently not ready or willing to tackle the Legend Killer, simply opted to walk away in silence. Test was originally supposed to be an entrant, but he was found unconscious backstage. When the buzzer for Number 21 went off and Foley's music hit, the place went crazy.

Foley eliminated Orton (who was in the Rumble since number 2) as well as himself with a Cactus clotheline, but it was a worthy sacrifice. The two then continued to brawl around the ringside area. This angle/entrance was a huge surprise and kicked-off their critically-acclaimed feud proper.
