15 Most Surreal WWE Moments

Betrayals, shocking debuts, and real life tragedies make for some surreal wrestling moments.

WWE storytelling has been filled with countless twists and turns over the years. Its television product is built off of engaging audiences to the degree that they€™ll become hooked and keep returning. To move their storylines forward, the company tries to keep their fans constantly guessing what they€™ll do next. Most of the time, though, it€™s pretty easy to predict what wrestler is going to win, and where a particular angle is headed. But now and then WWE pulls a fast one on us. Besides many heart-stopping and shocking moves and stories in the company€™s history, there have been some downright surreal moments that just didn€™t feel real. Surrealness is a hard feeling to explain, in part because it so rarely happens. It€™s almost dreamlike. It's seeing moment you didn€™t ever think was possible. In part, it's the rare instances like these that keep the fans tuned in, so they don't miss out. To rank the most surreal WWE moments, we have to go with shockers that a mass audience has seen, which means no non-televised events, or things that happened in companies Vince McMahon now owns like WCW and ECW. From talent we€™d never thought we€™d see in a WWE ring to real-life tragedies, here are the 15 most surreal moments in WWE history.

I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
