15 Most Surreal WWE Moments

12. CM Punk Breaks The Fourth Wall

By now, CM Punk's Pipebomb Promo is the stuff of legend. And at the time, it was one of the most talked about moments in years. In June of 2011, internet fans knew that Punk was getting to step away from wrestling. He was upset that he'd been overlooked for so long, and felt he was deserving of main-event status in the company. WWE never gave him that chance, and he'd had enough. On his way out, he was going to feud with John Cena, and presumably put him over before taking time off to do non-wrestling activities. To set up his feud with the face of the company, he beatdown Cena and then sat at the top of the entrance way to vent his feelings. What he unleashed was a brilliant and bizarre promo, one that resonated with countless fed-up and disgruntled fans. Punk insulted Vince McMahon, HHH and Stephanie as well as "Glad handed, nonsensical, douchebag, yes men" like John Laurinaits. Ouch. He even turned toward the camera and waved to his good friend Colt Cabana. For the hardcore fans, it seemed like a middle finger right to the WWE. News outlets like ESPN even picked up on the story in the following days, as anyone who witnessed it knew they'd seen something that appeared to break all the rules.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
