15 Richest WWE Superstars Of All Time

5. Kurt Angle (Net Worth: $20m)

Kurt Angle had the chance to join the WWF after his 1996 Olympic gold medal triumph. They were offering him a substantial amount of money to come on board team WWF but Kurt figured there was more money to be made on the autograph/personal speaking circuit. He was wrong. Angle decided he wanted to give wrestling a shot when he caught an episode of Raw during the Attitude Era. This time, the WWF didn't offer him nearly as much money but Angle signed anyway. He wouldn't have to wait long to make the big bucks, however. A lot of people in the industry marvelled at how quickly Angle took to pro wrestling. Angle went from the opening match to the main event in record time and made around $3m in his rookie year. When he left WWE in 2006 he had a $1m downside guarantee in his contract. Angle made a little less than that in TNA but he was still paid handsomely by Dixie Carter. Factor in merchandise, endorsement deals and acting and movie work and it's no surprise that Angle is worth about $20m. He could retire comfortably, if he didn't love to perform so much.
