15 Things We Learned From Vince McMahon On The Steve Austin Show

6. The End Of The Streak

Stone Cold brings up the shock he had when The Undertaker lost his 21 year streak to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. "No one wants to give back to the business more than Undertaker, Mark Calaway," Vince explains. That's a pretty notable breaking of kayfabe. You don't often hear "Mark Calaway" referenced. Vince explains that the job was the right thing to do, as it helped to make a star. He noted that the timing was right as no one else was coming up who was worthy of the streak. Again, that's a pretty damning comment about his own full time roster. Austin then pressed Vince on who made the decision. "I made the decision," Vince emphasised. Austin next questioned the value of Brock Lesnar, given the limited number of dates he works. "He's a special attraction," was Vince's argument. The logic is the less you see see Brock, the more you'll pay for his appearances.
